Joe Andruzzi graduated the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1990 with a B.S. in Biology, Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa

and with Departmental Honors in Biology

and American History. He received his Juris Doctor from Hofstra Law School in 1993.

Joe started his career as a Nassau County Deputy County Attorney. During his tenure he defended medical malpractice claims and high exposure general liability cases.

 

Working as lead counsel for over 100 Municipal Liability Claims, Andruzzi saved the taxpayers millions of dollars defending high value personal injury losses.

 

In 2001 Joe took his expertise to the private sector with a heavy concentration representing personal injury and medical malpractice victims and has recovered Millions for his clients at the Trial level.

 

Additionally, Joe has litigated extensively in Appeals Courts over his career and his work on those cases has been published at least 19 times and in at least four legal textbooks, treatises

and legal encyclopedias including New York Jurisprudence, 2nd Edition, Corpus Juris Secundum,  McQuillin Law of Municipal Corporations and Thompson-West, New York Motions in Limine. His case work has been incorporated into Carmody Wait 2d New York Practice with Forms, for use by other lawyers.

 

Andruzzi is an ardent environmental Conservationist and has developed a significant professional practice supporting and representing the people and organizations that protect, preserve and steward our fragile open spaces for future generations.

 

Amongst the most gratifying professional work

of his career, Joe Andruzzi serves as General Counsel to a charitable foundation supporting

the important work of at least 70 open space preservation Land Trusts and environmental advocacy organizations across the country, bringing together the expertise borne of a lifelong passion for the outdoors and a formal natural sciences education together with the mission

of his law practice.

 

Joe is a dedicated husband and father of three. He and the family enjoy an outdoor lifestyle, spending time fishing, hunting, biking, hiking

and diving and are committed to volunteering their time and talent for their faith, community and for environmental conservation causes.
